Alternatively you can use the Athens – Thessaloniki highway to Kleidi, taking the highways Nea Odos (Athens – Scarfia), Main Road (Scarfia – Raches) and Aegean (Raches – Kleidi) and then use Egnatia Odos in the city of Ioannina.
Ioannina is also served by dense air services from Athens to King Pyrros Airport.
